Please sign this petition to help save Shrewsbury skate park from the ridiculous design proposed by Miles Kenny which will spell the end for skateboarding and BMX in Shrewsbury. The town council have already spent 100,000 on laying a surface and putting up floodlights, this space would be totally wasted with the design chosen by local lib dem councillor Miles Kenny (it has been proved that the initial consultation process was a farce with young skaters and bmxers being given a 'hobsons choice' between two designs that are totally useless to the end users). There is 40,000 of funding left to build the ramp/s, we are asking that the council choose another design which comes within budget and would enable the skateboard/bmx/rollerblade fraternity of shrewsbury to still have a park worthy of skating/riding that could be added to when and if funding becomes available in future years.
