Petition for the Colorblind Option for Maplestory

Hi everyone,

I'm colorblind(yes, girls can be colorblind. If you feel the urge to act "smart" and say girls can't be, please proceed to the bottom of my post.*) and there are a lot of things in maplestory that I can't tell apart, so I think it's time for a colorblind option in Maplestory. Games should be playable to EVERYONE, and maybe for once Nexon will listen. I'm putting together a petition for the colorblind option to send to Nexon Please leave your name if you support

*girls can be colorblind. I think I would know. A lot of outdated textbooks are wrong if they say girls can't be. Please just google it if you must...

What I have trouble with in game(and other colorblinds)

I know names are there, but it's not just that. Like when you're bossing and the bodies has different colors, I can't tell when it's going to die, can't tell if an item is scrolled gold, purple, ett, the worst is not being able to tell the different chats apart D: Also a lot of quests and pqs have colors involved. (in Monster Carnival, stuff tends to blend in!) HPQ is the worst pq for us though! And a BIG one is not being able to tell mana elixers and power elixers apart, that's annoying and we die a lot because of it :P

What the option would do

It would be a checked box under game options, so it would not affect other people in any way.
It could either A) Add extra labels when option is checked or B) Change the colors to colors that we don't confuse up when option is checked

Has any other game even done this before?

Believe it or not, WoW already HAS a colorblind option!

"If Nexon just gets a single message with little more than a list of names (easily fabricated, and just character names at that), that won't go anywhere. One message they can ignore easily, but thousands of messages have a fighting chance, since they can't easily go ignored. The idea is that if thousands of people present themselves as real people (individual messages signed with their real name) then Nexon will see that there's an actual large demand for the option. If they just get one message from one person, with no real names anywhere, and just a list of in game names, it takes no thought on their end to just hit 'next message' and forget all about it. In the corporate world it's all about being incessant and repetitive until you get results. :D

A colorblind option could consist of adding extra labels when the option is checked, or changing colors when it is checked to make it easier for us/our fellow colorblind maplers.I, as a colorblind person/supporter of colorblind people(pick one), truly believe that this change is very necessary and your actions towards having the game include colorblind assistance will be highly appreciated. These are some in-game names of players that agree with me about having a colorblind option. Thank you very much for your support.

Proving we need this

People who are saying "They won't make a game JUST for you." Did you know that about 8\% of men and 0.5\% of women are affected by colorblindness? Oh no, I forgot that I'm secretly 8\% of the male population, and there are only 99.5 females on the planet besides me! I guess you guys are right! lol

People who say, "Oh yeah and you'll make a game for blind people next." Color blindness is adding a few labels. Blindness just can't happen. Two very different things here.

UPDATE: I'm actually working on something right now to help us colorblinds in game. I'll have to see how it works out.
