PETITION IN SUPPORT OF PRIME MINISTER MOHAMED ABDULLAHI MOHAMED (FARMAJO).

Background (Preamble):
We, Somali citizens, wish to express our total opposition to the agreement between the President of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia and the Speaker of the Transitional Federal Parliament of Somalia made in Kampala on 9th of June 2011 (The Kampala Accord) .

We, the undersigned, believe that it is high time that Somalis had a say in their countrys governance. Our country has been without an effective central government for the last 20 years. Now that the government led by Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) has shown impressive and tangible progress we are dismayed that he has been asked to resign without any valid reasons.

We are serious about defending what remains of our country and we demand the international community and the United Nations listen to what the Somali public has to say about this agreement and their countrys future.
By signing below we are showing that we strongly support our Prime Minister and disagree with this humiliating Kampala Accord. Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) has accomplished a lot in a short time. We want him to continue as our Prime Minister for the next 12 months in order to stabilize the country and complete his governments priority transitional tasks.

WE STAND WITH Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo).

We stand against the agreement between the President of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia and the Speaker of the Transitional Federal Parliament of Somalia signed in Kampala on the 9th of June, 2011.

We are reclaiming our long-denied dignity and reject any humiliating agreements that are imposed on us.

We reject any interference in the executive powers of the Prime Minister and his effective running of the government.

We call on the United Nations, IGAD, the EU, the AU, and the Arab League to respect the wishes of the Somali people, their dignity, and their sovereignty and we call upon all Somali stakeholders to support Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi (Farmajo) in his quest of bringing peace and stability to our country.
