Human trafficking generates $32 billion USD annually.
1.2 million CHILDREN are trafficked each year.
New Zealand is a destination for trafficking of women.
To Raise Awareness of Sexual Exploitation, Prostitution and Human Trafficking in New Zealand
We are a group of New Zealanders, committed to seeing change in the areas of:
1. Prostitution
2. The trafficking of women and children for sex in NZ
Sex trafficking is undeniably another form of slavery, with equal horrors associated with it.
The effects on women and children, both emotionally and physically, is huge and we cannot ignore that this is happening in New Zealand.
As a group our aims are:
1. To raise awareness at community and government levels of the trafficking and the exploitation of prostitutes.
2. To petition the government for changes to moral standards and legal protection.
3. To unite Christian’s in prayer and social action.
4. To unite in prayer to see hope, healing and restoration for those affected.
We endorse Abraham Lincoln’s quote:
“Although volume upon volume is written to prove slavery is a very good thing we never hear of the man who wishes to take the good of it, by being a slave himself.”
