"Totally unacceptable recommendation. This neighborhood contributes substantially -- well beyond our share -- to the tax base of Chapel Hill. We pay those high rates because we want a certain quality of life and have invested in this expensive neighborhoo"

"The bus route next to the Meadowmont Harris Teeter is an asset to the neighborhood, but an additional route through our narrow streets will likely not add any riders, yet will potentially create risk on the roads. Please consider dropping this plan. Than"

"Our property taxes are amongst the highest in the state. It makes no sense for the town to be adding buses when there are very few people on buses in force now."

"You allowed large buildings and development along 54 now widen the road to accomodate the traffic they generate. Don't destroy our neighborhoods. "

"Our family is strongly opposed to bus service on Pinehurst and Burning Tree, as it would increase the risk to our children who regularly bike and walk on these streets."

"From a public administration perspective, it does not make strategic or fiscal sense to have a bus line through Burning Tree and Pinehurst Drive. There is no demand along this corridor and is not consistent with the value or need of the Oaks 2 neighborho"

"As a resident of over 20 years, we have never ridden the Chapel Hill bus and we see no reason for the bus route to disturb our community. Before Meadowmount was built we asked that the communities not be connected and the city council refused to consider"

"Burning Tree and Pinehurst are just about wide enough for 2 cars. Certainly not a bus and a car. Also there are numerous speed bumps on both streets that the bus would have to deal with. Not at all set up for bus traffic! Bad choice!"

"Apparently the consulting team did not thoroughly investigate the proposed bus route through Burning Tree and Pinehurst. If they had they would see that it is not suitable for this proposal. Costly, useless and dangerous."
