Petition to Kelvin Thomson regarding the ALP conduct of the Palestine statehood

Point made in the letter to Kelvin Thomson 1. We ask for consideration of the following matters: a. Why does the ALP support the proposed US Veto of Palestine’s bid to become an independent state? b. Why does the ALP NOT criticise Israel’s conduct in i. Its illegal occupation of the West Bank/East Jerusalem ii. Its unjust control of the Palestinian water iii. The continual spread of settlements iv. Its erection of the partition wall…etc All if the above mentioned are a blatant breach of basic Human Rights 2. We ask for action on the following matters a. Israel must end the occupation of the West Bank/East Jerusalem b. Israel must cease discrimination against Palestinians living in Israel c. Isreal must accept responsinility for the problem of the Palestinian refugees Otherwise, there can never be peace in the Palestinian Territory. 3. We ask that these points should be presented to the ALP National Conference in December.
