This is a petition for the legalization of marijuana in the United States, on a federal and state level, and the release of non violent marijuana offenders from incarceration. We, the people of the United States, want an end to this failed war against this plant. We want it legalized, totally, for medical and recreational purposes for use by adults 18 or over.We also would like a return to the growth of industrial hemp as a cash crop to be used to make textiles, and other goods. We sign this petition in the hopes that our elected leaders will hear us and listen to our appeal. We will not go away.If you ignore us now,we will continue to petition, to picket,to protest.Strike down this unconstitutional law now.
On 4/20/2010, this petition and its signatures will be sent to the president, senators, congressmen, lawmakers, and news media outlets, with the signatures gathered so they may see the will of the people.
