Whereas the late Tim Russert was among the most prominent, vocal, and proud natives of Buffalo ever to gain national notoriety; and
whereas his reputation as a fair journalist and devoted family man reflect his working-class Buffalo roots; and
whereas the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport is a gateway to greater Buffalo used by people from throughout the world,
We believe that the most fitting tribute to the memory of Tim Ruseert would be for the NFTA to incorporate his name in that of Buffalo's airport, such as "Tim Russert Buffalo International Airport"

As a Niagara Falls native we have always been proud of the respect and loyalty that Mr Russert showed for his hometown, our Bills and the many natives who hail from WNY. We are very pleased that this measure has been taken to honor Tim's memory.
