Petition to Zuffa LLC to merge the WEC with the UFC

World Extreme Cagefighting is home to the most exciting fights in the world of MMA. Fighters are routinely more skilled and fight harder and faster than anybody else on the planet. Lighter weight fighters don't get the credit they deserve and that is in part due to the lack of exposure from Zuffa. The WEC houses many top ten fighters in each weight class as well as several pound for pound entrants such as Mike Thomas Brown, Brian Bowles and Miguel Torres. Other top ten fighters such as Jose Aldo, Urijah Faber, Damacio Page, Dominic Cruz and Takeya Mizugaki.

Bantamweight and Featherweight classes deserve to be showcased on the highest level, that of the UFC. They deserve the same pay as the larger fighters and the same exposure because they do just as much and leave it all in the cage the same way. There is also talent in the lightweight class that would carry over well, such as Jamie Varner, Ben Henderson, Donald Cerrone and now Chris Hordecki. It's the opinion of many that the fighters of the WEC deserve the publicity and pay that their heavier peers receive. This petition is the voice of all fans and fighters alike who feel smaller fighters deserve to share the stage with everybody else. Zuffa should listen.
