Effects on us and our future generations:
1. Less and less skilled man power would be produced in Pakistan.
2. More and more people (though minority) would be forced to go for higher education in foreign countries. In other words sponsoring the local students of those foreign counties (or even the whole Europe in case of EU), since students from third world countries like Pakistan pays premium fees. Forexample, a not very well known public university in the UK would charge around 12,000 per year to a Pakistani student when the locals (including students from all other EU countries) would only pay 3,000 and that is only when their parent's annual income is more than 60,000. Upon that the locals are offered interest free student loans (5000-6000 per annum) to feed themselves and pay for the accomodation.
3. More and more younger and highly educated people would leave the country and feed the retired generations of other countries (through taxes) thus depriving Pakistan from the only precious resource which is still available and much needed there.
4. By applying for visas in thousands and millions we actually sponsor the embassies of foreign countries in our country, when all of us know that only a fraction of those visa applications are successful. Upon that these embassies treat us like slaves. Forexample, charge us to pay for premium visa fees, courier fees plus highly deplorable medical tests where girls and boys are asked to take off their shirts of TB tests. Unsurprisingly this doesn't happen in India. And I think there is no need to say how we are treated in those queues for visa applications. Trust me if the same treatment would met to travellers from the UK to the US. The UK government would force the US to mend its way.
I would request all of you to pass on this to everyone you think would be helpful to put pressure on the so called sham democratic govt. of pakistan. By this I mean including the ordinary people like you and me and any one you know who is associated to any non-political donor agency to Pakistan. Offcourse, IMF or USAID may not be interested in this as they and their cronies might be beneficiary of this roll back. (courtesy M. Tauqeer Akhtar)
