Dear Robert Dennison and Parole Board Members:
This petition is representing the supporters for the release of Eric Brennesholtz 81B1987. Eric had been sentenced to a term of 15 years to life; he has served 25 years for the death of his ex-girlfriend. Eric has no prior criminal record and has had a clean record while incarcerated.
In 1993 Eric was being prepared to be granted work release. Eric was to be released to go to work 5 days a week and be home those days the other 2 days he would spend the nights in a work release center. Because the laws changed he had been denied he would remain in prison.
In 2003 the superintendant of the facility placed a letter in Eric's folder acknowledging Eric's good behavior, good work skills and good institutional adjustment.
His accomplishments include a GED(General Education Diploma) a Literacy of America certificate and he plays the guitar during church services. Eric has positive goals for his release, a new wife and home in Upstate, New York an opportunity for a position at a contracting company and the
possibility of advocating and volunteering for Special Education and Literacy programs for those in need.
We believe in Eric's ability to become a valued member of society with family and friends who are in support of his release.

It most certainly is possible for a person to succeed no matter what their backround may have been. It sounds that Mr Brennesholtz have proven himself worthy during his incarceration. He does deserve the opportunity to be a private citizen again !
