Pledge to Vote Against Representatives who Vote for Bailout

The proposed bailout of investment banks by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is an affront. So far the team of Paulson and Berhnanke have bailed out Bear Stearns, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and most recently AIG -- and in only one case did they seek approval through the American people's elected representatives. The potential losses the American public may have to cover could reach 1 trillion dollars. This same team now propose we give them $700 billion dollars to bailout an unnamed list of other banks.
We as hard-working Americans who make responsible decisions and pay for our own mistakes object to using the US Treasury as a risk-mitigation pool to bailout banks and investors who now face the losses that come with their bad decisions.
Therefore, we the undersigned pledge to vote against any representative who votes for this or any other bailout. Regardless of party, the merits of said representative or time of his or her service We will vote against that representative. Further, we pledge to vote against any representative who votes for a bailout whether the vote is for a "clean" bill or the bailout is attached as a rider in a "must-pass" piece of legislation.
Our resolve against the bailout is non-negotiable. It's time to let risk takers pay the price for their poor decisions. It's time to say no.
