Point Wells Rezoning Petition

We, the undersigned residents of Richmond Beach, do hereby protest the rezoning of Point Wells unincorporated island owned by Paramount Northwest LLC (located in Snohomish County) as either an Urban Center or Mixed Use unless an access road is established in and through Snohomish County.
The reasons for this protest are:
Richmond Beach is in King County and is not currently annexed to the Point Wells property in Snohomish County, therefore negating any protection Shoreline residents may have from over-development.
The only current access to Point Wells is Richmond Beach Road, one of the most dangerous roads in King County. The significant increase in cars would pose a considerable public safety risk to residents of Richmond Beach.
An increase of vehicle traffic, headlights and noise would affect not only privacy and quality of life but property value in the market.
Shoreline does not have the infrastructure in place to support the additional residents in terms of utilities, emergency services and schools.
Construction may release hazardous materials into the environs and the contaminated debris would require special handling. If the only access road is Richmond Beach Road, the removal of the contaminated materials will pose a significant risk to the community.
We implore you to protect and preserve Richmond Beach.
