We, the undersigned, find S1(Section 220) of the Senate ethics bill S.1 to be an unconstitutional attempt at erecting barriers to free speech.
We find that Section 220 and the attempt to resurrect the "fairness doctrine" are intended to stifle effective expression of Conservative viewpoints.
We find the initiation and promotion of all such unconstitutional legislation to be a sign of unacceptable contempt for the Constitution and the rights of the electorate.
We are therefore jointly and severally resolved that we will not support, make financial contributions to nor vote for any candidate for elected federal office who does not explicitly & vociferously condemn the aforesaid unconstitutional legislation in whatever form it may take.
We are likewise jointly and severally resolved that we will not support, contribute to the re-election campaign of nor vote for any incumbent Representative or Senator who does not vote against the aforesaid legislation at every opportunity.
Imposing legal, accounting & reporting costs on small, "grass roots" organizations and individuals with the threat of impoverishing fines and prison sentences is a deliberate and transparent attempt to strangle free expression.
Threatening radio stations with license revocation because they broadcast Conservative talk shows is another blatant attempt to exclude the expression of Conservative ideas so as to establish and maintain Liberals in perpetual power.
We are outraged by these arrogant usurpations, and we will not tolerate them! We urge everyone to sign this petition and email it to their Senators, Representative, President Bush and everyone in their email address book. Post a link to the petition on your blog or web site and spread the word.
