Sexual Assault is a serious issue at Duke. In the Fall of 2010, there were:
29 cases of rape and sexual assault
25 cases of alleged perpetrators who were Duke students or recent graduates
15 cases of sexual harassment
20 cases of relationship violence and stalking
Because sexual assault cases are vastly under reported, it is estimated that these numbers only represent 5\% of all sexual assault cases that have occurred. If the other 95\% were reported, what do you think these numbers would look like?
We NEED to do more to ensure a safe environment for all students.
Join us in signing this petition to mandate comprehensive bystander intervention training for all incoming students. As the numbers show, True Blue's 30 minutes is not enough.
