We respectfully request that the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice review events surrounding the injustice of White students in Jena, Louisiana, among other parishes, to determine whether the civil rights of Jena residents have been violated.
A white child has been beaten and demorilized by thugs. This goes on every where despite what people think else where. These black kids, not just the " Jena Six", but most thugs in our schools which in most cases are black are constantly threatening white kids and demorilizing them. This student needs justice and justice would be to prosecute the Jena Six to the fullest extent to prevent this from happening again.
From the same Chicago Tribune article:
Theres been obvious racial discrimination in this case, said Joe Cook, executive director of the Louisiana chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, who described Jena as a racial powder keg primed to ignite. It appears the black students were singled out and targeted in this case for some unusually harsh treatment. This is true because a message needs to be sent.. The message is, blacks students or blacks in general, cannot get away with these types of crimes everytime they call Jesses Jackson or Al Sharpton, justice needs to be served now!!! The beating and intimidation of white kids all over Louisiana need to stop..
The prosecution of these young men represents justice, punishing these (black) students for their threatening and provocative acts of those engaging in violent acts of crime.
We respectfully request that the Governor of Louisiana, Louisiana House of Representatives and Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice launch a full investigation into events in Jena, Louisiana, beginning with all the threats and intimidation white students recieve almost all the time just for being white and the culminating in the alleged fight of December 4, 2006 to determine whether the civil rights of Jena residents have been violated.
