Protect the Sure Start Centres in RBWM from major budget cuts

The RBWM have decided after their initial consultation about making changes to the Sure Start Centres in the Borough, they will keep all Children Centres open but run them with a skeleton team, relying on individuals to pay for activities at the centres and try to work with volunteers and private companies to manage many of the other activities.
The Sure Start centres provide so much more than an social aspect for new mums and dads, and although the Borough has decided to keep the centres open the valuable work that the staff do at the centres will decrease due to a number of staff cuts.
Even if you do not use the centres with yourself, the services that the Sure Start Centres provide enable them to work with families from across many walks of life and this will be severely affected if the current plan goes into effect from the beginning of September. So if you could sign the petition to help everyone give their child the best start in life it would be much appreciated.
