Protecting Children from Military Deadbeat Parents

To Whom It May Concern;

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, BEING CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, formally state that we want to petition the laws that allow deadbeat active duty military persons to avoid facing child support courts by submitting requests to be sent overseas, that allow them to postpone certain obligations, to protect and serve our country while not having to protect and serve the children they are leaving behind.

We submit that while they are allowed to do so, they are in turn forcing the obligated parent into using the welfare system and also forcing a majority of them into poverty which is currently effecting the economy.

Furthermore, we believe that in these cases it is unfair to the child at hand. State laws look at what is in the best interest of the child, where as the military does not. If the parent is sent overseas with these matters unresolved and are killed in duty, the child is left with nothing.

We respectfully submit this petition so that laws may be passed to protect innocent children from military deadbeat parents, to ensure that the government is looking out for the best interest of our children, and furthermore to ensure that our military is subjected to higher standards due to their status in our country.
