RACISM and GENTICIDE in CANADA. Stop arresting people in Canada for their skin color. Innocent people do not belong in prison. And public apology and compensation to people of color.

95 per cent of people in prisons in Canada are Native. Most people jump to the conclusion that they must be more inclined to commit crime. Not the case.

Ethics vary from person to person, not among a race, as does inclination toward crime, and so you would think that the demographics in a prison would be more reflective of the population.

Almost all off these people were convicted for nonviolent crimes, virtually victimless crimes, mostly alcohol related crimes, destined to harsh jail time for because of peoples perceptions of their race. They should be released immediately.

A sex offender or pedophile is less likely to serve jail time and will serve less time than an average native man who basically didn't do anything wrong.

Racism is a problem around the world.

I hate to see an innocent man go to prison. So many times I see a man harshly blamed when he didnt't do anything and this would have to carry over to who how people get arrested somewhat. And meanwhile, you're not locking up the evil ones.

Also, ironically, natives carry more of the brunt of the violent crime in society including murder, and I have witnessed many beaten to a pulp or shoved to the ground,by individuals walking down the street attacking something peaceful, always by employed-looking, clean cut white males. In safe areas of the city. Or else it is arrogant white security guards who were out of line. I have not ever seen these individuals arrested for assault or hastled by the police. Natives do not get the same police protection. Some people fire so much derogatory comment, meant to be derogatory at innocent people and random races, and it begins here. Natives are such a peaceful race. I have been to events run by natives and it is always like bathing in a room of peace.

Also, about 6 times, I often see female store owners or others panicking because someone of color walks through their store and their buttons go up like they are going to steal something. And it seems to becoming out of who they were told as a child who they were allowed to date or something, which is very inappropriate, not what people are allowed to do, that we learn by the news and the law and personal consciounce. And I can tell by what they are saying it is like someone warned them to stay away from men or something. They have no base for any of their suspicians but they act as if they are true. They seemed to me oblivious to the ramifications of what they were doing in reporting, but also were in fact in the wrong themselves, doing something like kicking the person out of the store, or screaming in the person's face, or one time a woman slammed a door in someones face and refused him into a conference because of his race. These women have always been middle class and middle aged. It's embarrassing. It is very offensive, but also laughable that they are so scared of nothing. It is the criminalization of color. But I am fearful that they have enough clout to get someone innocent arrested.

I think a lot of what the police are doing besides blaming the victim and getting the perpetrator and the victim mixed up, is lumping the poor, which many native people are, all together and treating individuals like they used to treat domestic violence cases, not getting involved. When a person might be forced to live in high crime areas, or are target toward discrimination, maybe by the police themselves. And violence toward the poor and /or toward natives is ignored. But they should be freed from prison when it is a relatively minor charge, if they have even done that, and it's obviously all because of their race. It is pure genticide and it is wrong.

Please, free people arrested for victimless crimes, especially where racism might have been involved in their arrest immediately and Canada's government make a public apology to all people of color for being viewed as more inclined to commit crime, and also to all people harmed by the judicial system that was supposed to help them, especially so people will stop bashing them, and as well, appropriate compensation for serving jail time for getting drunk like anybody else does at one time. Then focus your attention on crimes against humanity including racism.
