Recall all copies of BioShock

WHEREAS the game BioShock was marketed as a spiritual successor to System Shock 1/2, but was not as such delievered; not in the slightest

WHEREAS 2K Games lead designer Ken Levine issued a number of false statements regarding BioShock (eg.: "the BioShock (character growth) system is of roughly equal depth (to SS2)", "BioShock is the deepest game we've ever made.", "...no limited resources... this is, of course, a filthy filthy lie")

WHEREAS BioShock was blatantly over-hyped

WHEREAS BioShock was not a good game even if viewed as an anonymous FPS

WHEREAS we now observe a backward trend in PC gaming where games are dumbed down for "casual gamers" who "do not want to be frustrated by failure"- an alarming phenomenon which BioShock perpetuates

WHEREAS a much greater number of idiots will now grow up "hating" Ayn Rand (the only book author it is acceptable to "hate" in the liberal arts - by the same people who (want to) make even Pol Pot's humanity shine)



THEREFORE the ad-hoc general assembly of PC gamers Who Recall System Shock, with sadness but great gravitas



DEMAND

THAT BioShock stop being sold immediately, both in stores and on Steam

THAT 2K Games and Irrational Games, in cooperation with applicable local or federal police and/or military authorities and/or private security firms do their utmost to seize all sold retail copies of BioShock

THAT all seized copies be destroyed utterly; both the gamer's hard drives and dvds be melted completely at temperatures exceeding 4510C and the resulting goo be sunk into the Mariana Trench

THAT all reviewers who rated the game in excess of seven out of ten (non-scoring reviews to be interpreted based on the use of the word 'revolutionary') to be be sent to "re-education camps" on Knoxcoast, not to leave until they acknowledge the mediocracy of BioShock

THAT prominent memorials are erected in all major US and European cities where the game was sold, decrying the shitiness of this false spiritual successor; and

SUGGESTS

THAT Ken Levine forfeit his humanity and/or personhood by making BioShock; is due to his crimes no longer a welcome part of the society of free men, and may be delt with or not without consequence
