Recognise the Libyan National Transitional Council now

Its time for Australia to take a clear stand and officially recognize the Libyan National Transitional Council as the only legitimate representative of the Libyan people. This will provide the Libyan pro-democracy movement with much-needed moral support, help further isolate Gadaffis regime and establish a clear path for negotiating effective strategies to end the slaughter without overstepping the will of the Libyan people.

The Libyan people have been unwavering and continue to lay down their lives for one objective to free themselves of Gadaffi's tyranny.
To that end, Libyans have aligned themselves with the National Transitional Council, as has the Arab League and France. Its time Australia did the same. Please sign the petition urging the Australian government to officially recognize the National Transitional Council. Libyans are dying for it.

Stand with Libyan People NOW

Dear Prime Minister Gillard,

As an ordinary citizen I am distraught by the unspeakable violence and military attacks perpetrated against the citizens of Libya. Whole towns are effectively held hostage. Unarmed women, children, elderly people, doctors and ambulance drivers are being massacred by the Gadaffi regime.

Its time for Australia to take a clear stand and officially recognize the Libyan National Transitional Council as the only legitimate representative of the Libyan people. This will provide the Libyan pro-democracy movement with desperately needed moral support, help further isolate Gadaffis regime and establish a clear path for negotiating effective strategies to end the slaughter without overstepping the will of the Libyan people.

The Libyan people have been unwavering and continue to lay down their lives for one objective to free themselves of Gadaffi's tyranny. To that end, many Libyans have aligned themselves with the National Transitional Council, as has the Arab League and France. Its time Australia do the same. I urge the Australian government to officially recognize the Libyan National Council immediately as the only legitimate representative of the Libyan people.
