This petition is to protest the absurd amount of reality television programs on TV 3 New Zealand, and TV2 New Zealand.
These TV stations dont seem to realise people do not like reality television anymore. The amount of reality television programs on these channels is getting preposterous. We do not want to see 5 different home and garden renovation shows a week. We do not want to see wave upon wave of Become A Star reality shows like American Idol and Wannabes. By signing this petition you are not saying to completely get rid of reality TV shows on New Zealand television, but to reduce the amount. By signing this petition you are saying that you want a higher quality and a smaller quantity of reality TV shows on New Zealand TV. Shows like Living The Dream, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, The Amazing Race and Average Joe.
What we want less of: By signing this petition you agree that New Zealand television stations need to reduce the amount of:
Police reality TV shows, e.g. Police 10 7
Home and garden renovation shows, e.g. Hot Property
Reality TV shows that get shown for ages, e.g. Survivor, Fear Factor
Possibly reduce the amount of Become A Star type reality TV shows, e.g. Australian Idol
