Reform Rage Against the Machine

We, the undersigned, call on the musicians Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, Tim Commerford and Zack de la Rocha, collectively known as Rage Against the Machine, to reunite.

Rage Against the Machine stand as one of the most influencial bands in modern music, fusing diverse musical styles in a manner which has often been imitated, but never surpassed. Their message of defiance, activism, equality and social justice has been an inspiration to countless fans around the world.

Now more than ever Rage Against the Machine are needed as a militant political and musical force. With the continuing war in Iraq, mounting hostility in other areas of the middle east, allegedly democratic governments turning a blind eye to torture and oppression in the name of security and rampant corporate rule there has never been a more important time to stand up and express our displeasure with the current system.

Similarly, the surge of cynically commercial "music" which has bombarded the market in the seven years since Rage Against the Machine's split needs to be combatted. In the past the band has shown incredible passion and innovation - two traits sorely lacking in current rock, metal and hip hop. The time is right for a full-time reunion!
