Regarding Sonic World Adventure / Sonic Unleashed

Dear Sonic Team,

We from SegaCity, our german Sega Community, want to tell you our opinions about the Xbox 360-Version of the Game Sonic World Adventure / Sonic Unleashed on behalf of all undersigned.

All those promises in the last months before the release of the new adventure of our beloved blue hedgehog made fans all over the world go crazy. We also were excited and asked ourselves what we will get... after those dissapointing games like Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic '06. We all were thinking, this is going to be the first great Sonic 3D-Game in a long time! It felt as if we were waiting for 'Sonic Adventure 3', which the title was called in development.

First off - Sonic World Adventure begins extremely awesome. It sure was the most epic opening ever made in a Sonicgame. It's even one of the best ever created. The first levels were really fun to play and they were fair - but the whole story ends in a disaster.

We prepared a few examples to tell you what went wrong:
- Sonic World Adventure is much too difficult. Often the game is just unfair!
- You can't see obstacles at a speed like this. Mostly, it's enough to do the tiniest mistakes, then you're already dead.
- Sometimes the player just doesn't know what he should do. There are many Trial&Error-passages, for example in Holoska. Even if you get lives at checkpoints, it doesn't happen everytime. Even if there would be infinitive lives, it would still be frustrating. But not that much that you want to throw the game out of the window because it took you 45 minutes to reach the end of a level and die on an unfair point.
- Many children play Sonic. But how should they play it, if not even hardcoregamers want or can play it until the end?
- The leveldesign (at day) has to be more fluently. Just like Windmill Isle, the first level! That was perfect to play.
- There are so many bugs... For example: A User didn't get to see a Quick Time Event. Four times! Only after the fifth time the QTE appeared again. Also, the werehog does not react correctly on what you want him to do.
- The camera makes it impossible to see, what to get. This often brings you to death. Or: The camera changes position in balance-passages and the player can't change the angle of the camera most of the time manually.

Why are we saying that?
We believe, Sonic World Adventure could've been the best Sonic game ever. The graphics are stunning, the music is perfect and memorable, the courses look awesome and the amount is huge. The humour in this game is georgous. The game really had excellent aspects, BUT:
Sonic Team still does the same mistakes as in Sonic '06. It's just frustrating and has so many bugs. Promises in the interviews weren't hold.

We want, that Sonic Team is going to take our critisism to their hearts and think about a patch for the Xbox360-Version of the game, so fans all over the world can play the game at it's best.
