This is a double-purpose petition! That is, a petition with two purposes that both regard the dubbing of Pokemon. The first goal of this petition involves dubbing several episodes that have already been shown on Tv-Tokyo in Japan, but were not dubbed and shown here in the U.S.A. The episodes we are reffering to are Episode 35 "The Legend Of Dratini", Episode 38 "Electric Soldier Porygon" and Special 3 "Slowking's Day." These episodes were on shown on Tv-Tokyo, but for some reason, were not dubbed and shown here in the U.S.A. Nintendo, we hope you include these episodes in fifth season episode guide, Tv-Tokyo, we hope you release these episodes to be dubbed, 4Kids Entertainment, we hope you dub these episodes for the fifth season, Kids WB, we hope you show these episodes during the fifth season, and Viz Video, we hope you release these episodes on video. The next goal of this petition involves the current dubbing of Pokemon. While, overall, the translation from Japanese to English has been pretty accurate, we have noticed some significant, but unnessary, changes in the dub. This includes painting over or editing out Japanese writing, adding music that wasn't in the original version, or deleting scenes that don't really need to be deleted. That is why we are requesting that the original uncut, undubbed, and unedited Japanese episodes of Pokemon (or Pocket Monsters, as it is called in Japan) be released on Video and DVD here in the U.S.A. As Americans, we feel that we have a right to see everything that Japan (and other countries for that matter) gets to see. If the origianl Japanese episode of Pokemon were released on Video and DVD here in the U.S.A., we would be able to see Pokemon exactly the way the Japanese viewers saw it. Thank you, and we hope you all make the right choice.
