Gaseem Ali Yagubi is an Afghan asylum seeker currently being detained at the Oakington Reception Centre in Cambridge. Gaseem will be deported to Afghanistan on Tuesday 1st June 2010, unless we help him now.
Gaseem fled Afghanistan eight years ago after the Taliban murdered his disabled brother and forced him to fight along side his killers on the front line, against the Northern Alliance. After his capture by the Northern Alliance threats were made against his life. Gaseem left Afghanistan searching for a new life, free from oppression and persecution.
I believe that if Gaseem is returned to Afghanistan his life will be threatened again.
