We, the Undersigned, are of the opinion that the system of tracking every move students make, known as InfiniteCampus (http://www.infinitecampus.com:8080/corporateSite/index.jsp), currently being used by the Half Hollow Hills Central School District of Huntington and Babylon among countless other districts, is a blatently obvious breach of the right to a reasonable expectation of privacy. Having students tracked and monitored like an animal is not only morally wrong, but a violation of the principles our country was established upon. In addition, most of the students being tracked have done nothing to deserve it, yet are being watched more closely than a high-risk sexual offender. According to the philosophies of the great Enlightenment thinkers such as Voltaire, John Locke, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, people are naturally good, and should have the freedom to live their lives in private, without the close scrutiny of authority figures. It is therefore our contention that the InfiniteCampus system should be immediately be removed from the servers of the Half Hollow Hills Central School District of Huntington and Babylon and other places where it is currently in use.
