Schools all over the United States are facing the biggest problem ever; diabetes and obesity. Kids in grades K-12 all are affected by this. We as a community need to stop this ridiculous tradition. Livingston High School should be the first to help solve obesity and diabetes.
First thing that needs to happen is to take out the snacks that have a major source of sugar and fat in vending machines in this school. After that the problem can quickly be solved with other methods like adding healthier snacks that people will enjoy eating.
The students and faculty who sign this petition believe that it is in our and the schools best interest to remove the unhealthy snacks from vending machines in Livingston High School because of the effects the junk food is making on the students and faculty here. Please consider this situation for that sake of not only this community but other communities as well.
