To the Honorable Mayor Jerry Abramson

A petition to repeal the unfair banning of the responsible use of metal detectors in Louisville Metro Parks

Dear Mr. Mayor,
We the undersigned appeal to you to reconsider the unfair banning of the responsible use of metal detectors in Louisville Metro Parks.
This ban was placed upon local hobbyists without fair representation from them or their elected council members.
Staff members of the Metro Parks Department did not invite nor allow any members of the metal detecting community to address any questions or concerns regarding the hobby.

Furthermore, we the undersigned will make every effort NOT to spend any tourism dollars in city of Louisville until this unfair regulation is lifted.

988. Vicki Anns | Almost all metal detectorists leave parks better than they found them by removing trash that could cause injury such as glass, sharp metal, and needles. They fill in their holes and provide security for children by their presence. Please reconsider.
