Request for a Punkbuster Update for Call of Duty 1

Call of Duty 1 is one of the most popular onlne team games and has an extremely large number of loyal regular players, despite the release of it's sequel. However over the last few months it has become infested by what seems to be an fast-growing minority of cheaters making use of various tools (such as wallhacks, autoaim tools or radar tools) that give them unfair advantage over 'clean' players.

This is because the only updates to the Punkbuster anti-cheat software since November 2005 have been minor updates that do not seem to have included any actual anti-cheat measures.

The cheaters and hackers are gradually killing off what is a great game with a still thriving community. Many clans have been trying their hardest to catch, expose and ban cheaters found on their servers but there are simply too many to keep on top of. A full Punkbuster update to counter the huge number of new cheat tools that have been developed and used unchecked in the seven months since the last significant update will go a long way towards saving this game and restoring it to it's former glory.

Therefore we, the non cheating members of the Call of Duty community implore Even Balance, Inc. to develop such an update and then continue to update after that, lest it be neglected again thereafter.
