The downgrading of the N58 from a National route is a major concern for business in Ballina and the surrounding areas. Google maps uses national roads which will mean we have one less National route to Ballina and will have a detrimental effect on potential future industries as well as a huge inconvenience to businesses dependant on this route and will directly effect jobs in North Mayo. As traders we see the downgrading this route rather than a demand to have necessary improvements to this route is a deliberate attempt to inconvenience the North Mayo region as a whole. Please get behind this petition which has to be submitted to Mayo County Council before the 3rd of September.
