Resident Evil 2 & Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake instead of straight port

About a month ago I heard that Capcom was releasing Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis as a straight port from the PlayStation versions to the Nintendo GameCube, instead of a remake, which is what was done with the original Resident Evil. As a strong Resident Evil Fan I was not happy about this, seeing how the remake of the original Resident Evil work so well on Nintendo GameCube. Now, I know that I have been mentioning the Nintendo GameCube a lot, and I have heard many complaints that the new Resident Evil games would only be exclusive to the Nintendo GameCube. I have no personal preferences, and I believe that a release of new Resident Evil games on all new platforms (GameCube, PlayStation 2, XBOX, and PC) would strongly benefit Capcom and all of Capcoms many fans.
Back to the subject of discussion, I have also heard that it may be too late to stop the porting process to remake Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Instead of discontinuing the release of the straight port versions, release them on schedule. But, the remade versions could be released sometime in 2003 as Special Edition versions.
So if you, at all, feel the way that I do, sign this and you will be a big help in getting your favorite games remade the way you know they should be.

I have all of the American Resident Evil games, and I bought a Gamecube for the RE series. I am thoroughly satisfied with the remake of RE1 and the all new RE Zero. I knew that RE2 and 3 would be straight ports in order to get RE4 out on the market quicke

Why bother with ports. By the time the ports are released, everyone has played RE2 and RE3 and many will propably have it. Capcom will lose much profit from just some port.
