We, the residents and property owners of Weber County ask your support of S.B.25s02 that will abolish the detrimental provisions of H.B.466 and provide a sensible path for incorporation of Utah Towns in the future.

We believe the worst scenario for Ogden Valley is for Powder Mountain owners to incorporate into a town. This incorporation process at Powder Mountain is intended solely to bypass the oversight and planning process of Weber County.

Because of the unique single road access to the Powder Mountain area, all traffic and construction activity must pass through Ogden Valley. Consequently, this incorporation could negate much of the current density planning efforts, and negatively impact the future look and character of Ogden Valley.

The incorporation of Powder Mountain under H.B.466 will include residents of subdivisions in the immediate area of the resort boundaries that do not want to be included, and had no vote in the current petition.

The proposed increase in density (dwellings) at Powder Mountain will negatively impact the road traffic, air quality and water usage in Ogden Valley.
