Restore The Second Amendment

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution clearly states: "A well-regulated Milita, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

This sentence clearly imparts an individual right of the citzens of the United States to keep and bear arms. However, in many cities and states there are at this time unconstitutional restrictions on the ownership of firearms (Such as in New York City, where you are not allowed to own a gun without a special permit). These local restrictions must no longer be overlooked by the federal government, or enforced by local authorities.

If a City or State had a law allowing slavery, in violation of the 13th Amendment, would the Congress sit back and allow it? Surely not. Every Amendment must count wholly, or none will be worth anything for very much longer.

We hereby call for the United States Congress to pass an immediate and permanent prohibition on the practice of government Gun Registration. We furthermore request that they enforce the right to keep and bear arms in towns, cities, and states that have unconstitutional local laws which require such registration or permits to own firearms. Whether these local governments wish to comply or not, the federal government must make them according to the Constitution.

Furthermore, any elected or appointed official who does not comply with our request, and promotes Gun Registration, restricts the right of citizens to carry arms, or otherwise tries to undermine our Second Amendment rights, shall never receive a vote from us, shall receive no financial contributions from us, and shall not be welcome in our presence. Also, should we discover than any elected or appointed government official has knowingly passed a law which restricts law abiding citizens from owning and carrying guns, we shall petition for their immediate removal from office, upon violation of Constitutional Law!
