Warcraft III, a popular Real-Time-Strategy game that was released by blizzard in 2002. Building from its humble origins, thousands of players have added on to its legacy, in the form of new, innovative maps. Some were popular, some were not, but they were all given an equal chance to thrive in the community. Now, taking a look at battle.net today, we see thousands of host-bots flooding the game screen, constantly re-hosting and shoving player-hosted games to the bottom of the list, destroying any chance they have of attaining players. At the beginning, these bots were not a problem, their numbers were few and they games they hosted were popular. However, in these bleak times, bots that do nothing but flood the game screen with advertisements run rampant in Warcraft. This is disgusting, allowing such monstrosities to suppress and de-motivate the very people who have kept the game alive throughout the years the mapmakers. We have fought to have our maps noticed in Warcraft, but with the current situation it is all but impossible to do so. So please, if you share my outrage at these host-bots and what they have done to our beloved battle.net, you will support this cause.
