Return our Jersey

On August 27, 2007, Matt Hasselbeck and Mack Strong




presented Mr. George W. Bush with a Seahawks jersey




with a the number 43 printed on the back. We the




undersigned have no objection to Mr. Hasselbeck's or




Mr. Strong's affiliation with the Republican Party.




We believe in political freedom. However, Mr.




Hasselbeck's and Mr. Strong's views do not represent




the view of our city or of our Seattle Seahawks.









We the undersigned, as fans of the Seattle Seahawks,




find it inappriopiate for Mr. Hasselbeck and Mr. Stong




to ceremoniously present a Seattle Seahawk Jersey to




Mr. George W. Bush. The majority of this city do not




support Mr. George W. Bush or his politics. Mr.




Hasselbeck and Mr. Strong abused their positions as




Seahawks players to raise money for and promote a




cause that the overwhelming majority of this City




disagrees with.









If you agree with the above statement and if you




desire that Mr. Paul Allen, as owner of the Seattle




Seahawks, request that Mr. Bush return the jersey




presented to him, then sign below. Pass this along




to others. It will be presented to Mr. Paul Allen and




released to the media when there are significant




signatures.
