As a law abiding citizen of the UK, I get forever tired of hearing about the way the human rights act is used to support the person who is in prison for committing an offence. I want to live in a clean and decent society where rules are rules (though perhaps not quite as many as we currently have)
I would like to propose that when a person commits a crime, they default themselves of any access to the Human Rights act. They have broken the law, it was their choice. If or when found guilty they are given the minimum prison sentence at best, obviously depending on the severity of the crime i.e. Criminal damage is 5 yrs, assaults start I think at 5 yrs, rape 25 years, murder the same. These minimum terms are set out in statute.
This therefor means that prisons will be a tad overcrowded but as a law abidding citizen, it is my human right to live in a clean and decent society so if there then happens to be 25 to a cell and they can only sleep in shifts then so be it. They have no appeal on 'Human Rights grounds' becuase they have relinquished access to the act by breaking into our home or attacking our family members or damaging our property.
There is no reward for good behaviour because the only good behaviour is to not commit the crime in the first place
Please support this so we can all be happy and free, our kids can play outside with neighbours, we don't worry about our parents' safety.
What would be the result? The cost of keeping prisoners would decrease becuase we are not pandering to their every need, they will be in squallour but in no hurry to return to prison, should prisoners revolt and wreck a prison, well let them rebuild it, we'll get round to repairing thr kitchen when the roof is fixed situation
Thank you for readind this now lets try and make this a sensible way forward
Best wishes
