Hello Concerned Citizens,
It's bad enough that the original "The Ten Commandments" movie starring Charlton Heston as Moses incorrectly depicted the Egyptians as white, but now Television Conglomerate ABC has allowed yet another movie to be made, depicting Moses as White, as well as the Egyptian Pharoah as White.
Many people claim that skin color does not matter. If this is true, then why insist on representing people of color in the North African region incorrectly?
In a time when the media has misrepresented everything from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina to the Iraq war, the release of this movie is very symbolic of the United States media and its imperialistic views. Egyptians are of Afrikan descent, and continue to be portrayed as European.
Please sign this petition if you are tired of the media representing people of all colors incorrectly and without regard to the truth. The buck really needs to stop here, but let your discontent with our media and its corporate views stop here as WELL.
