RFE: Pause in Space game

We, the users of the game Space would very much like to see the game include a pause function. Ideally such a function would allow the user to survey his empire and place movement and build orders while paused. If this were to prove unfeasible, a pause function would still be highly desireable, as it would allow us to play the game in small chunks while compiling.
