Ritz-Calrotn Grand Cayman Employees for Fair Treatment

- Rate of pay - We are severely disappointed that we are paid comparitively lesser wages than employees of competing non-luxury hotels in the Caymans.
- Hours of work - We feel it is disrespectful and possibly illegal under Cayman Islands law to employ us less than 40 hours of work per week. During the slow season of 2008, many of us have watched our savings dwindle and often wondered if we'd be able to continue to pay our rent and bills.
- Management's abuse of power - While many of us are struggling to pay our bills, upper management continues to flaunt the fact that they use the hotel's facilities as their personal playthings. Many of us have had to close out "S&P" checks for individuals who enjoy meals, alcohol, hotel rooms, AOTE babysitting privledges and even spa treatments ALL AT THE EXPENSE OF THE HOTEL. All of this while they insist that the hotel is losing too much money and they can't afford to employ us for 40 hours a week. Since we can't afford to pay our bills, can we start to eat at the outlets daily?
Everyone who signs this petition will be shown only as a number. NAMES WILL NOT BE SHOWN. This is to protect the employees who fear retaliation from the hotel.
