Safe standing for all

Safe Standing is used in Germany the latest technology and well policed stadiums make a safe environment. Supporters should have their own choice of standing or sitting. This does not have to mean a return to the old terraces of the past but new better policed safe standing sections at football grounds. However the government seem to be dead against this for some reason. With a little common sense and compromise on all sides this issue could easily be resolved. The atmospheres at most football matches have got worse because of all seated stadiums and standing SECTIONS at football stadiums would make an improvement. The disaster which saw 96 Liverpool fans die was not due to standing it was due to the huge fences that prevented the fans from getting on the pitch and to safety. Football fans deserve the choice of standing or sitting!
