The El Paso Zoo has 2 elephants. Juno and Savannah. The Zoo only has 0.7 acres of land for the elephants to walk on. Elephants usually get around 30-50 miles a day. Savannah and Juno spend their days usually rocking and swaying back and forth which experts tell us indicate bordedom, frustration, and depression. And a review of their medical records reveal that both elephants have had SEVERE foot promblems, (including foot abscesses so large that Juno twice required surgery with anesthesia.)degenerative joint disease, skin abscesses, and skin laverations up to 7 inches long. We are working to send Juno and Savannah to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, where they would live on 2,700 acres in a healthy, naturalistic environment much like Asia. Please sign and help us save Savannah and Juno.
