Saudi Arabia should be banned from 2006 World Cup

Dear FIFA,

The upcoming World Cup tournament will be a spectacular event and many people from around the world will be watching the event. Many people around the world warship football like their religion and it brings many families and friends together for a short period. It has come to my concern that the Saudi National team recently qualified for the World Cup and this news had saddened many football fans from around the world. The Saudi government is the biggest violator of human rights , they have governed their country with obscene laws and without any international pressure the Saudi people will be suffering by their repressive regime in the future. Many Democratic countries like the United States have decided to turn a blind eye on the Saudi government because of their countries' interests and instead they are putting pressure on countries such as Syria and Iran as a pretext to cover their cooperation with the Saudi government.

The government in Saudi Arabia has created a society were terrorists such as Bin Laden are born and they have educated people in their Madrassas and local mosques to respect terrorists and treat them as heroes, this has impacted the Saudi society where new terrorists are born everyday. The royal family in the Saudi kingdom has been torturing its citizens for political and social freedoms and just recently they executed a 13 year old boy which the international community condemned but no actions were taken. In the Saudi kingdom people are depressed by their leaders, women are not allowed to drive, alcohol is banned, women are required to cove their face and body, movie theaters are closed, foreign movies are banned and the list in never ending. I bring you these concerns because the international community has turned a blind eyes on the ruthless crimes against humanity which the Saudi government has committed.

Many football fans around the world would like to see the Saudi national team banned from the upcoming World Cup in Germany, since politics has not stopped the Saudi government, we must use more powerful tools such as football which can be used to punish the Saudi government . Yugoslavia was expelled from the 1992 European Championship following United Nations Security Council sanctions in 1992 and was prevented from entering qualifying for the 1994 World Cup.South Africa was prevented from playing international soccer games by FIFA from 1964-92 because of its apartheid policy. The crimes which the Saudi government has committed are greater then the crimes which the South African and the Yugoslavian governments committed in the past and for that reason FIFA should consider banning the Saudi Arabian national team from the upcoming World Cup.
