Megaupload and Megavideo websites have been closed by FBI Thursday, January 19.
The much loved file sharing website Megaupload and Megavideo have recently been shut down by the FBI. Seven individuals have officially been charged with robbing from the rich ad giving to the poor as it were. The press release alleges that Megavideo and Megaupload was a criminal enterprise run by a man previously called Kim Dotcom, Kim Schitz, and Kim Tim Jim Vestor.
The federal prosecutor has accused the company of violating copyright law, causing damage to the company for 500 million dollars. The company replied that it has always been diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material, removing the contents.
Megaupload is one of the largest file sharing website on the entire internet.
