Our government wants to sell off state owned woodland and forest areas to the private sector. Even if they are sold on 150 year leases, they could then be destroyed - this is a travesty and will result in a loss of our children's and our childrens children's natural legacy.
This could eventually result in loss of natural habitat, loss of native flora and fauna (even extinction of some species), environmental problems. And will result in loss of jobs, and lack lustre management of our woodlands.
We want the Government to put a stop to this before it happens, to avert disaster for our wooded areas and the life that resides inside them. We love our woodlands and forests and we want to keep them so that our children can enjoy them as they have a right to.
