On July 16th, 4004, Fanfictionlog.com will be closing indefinitely due to problems paying for the server. These problems have surfaced because of the massive traffic the website receives daily.
At the moment, we (the petition makers) are concerned about what is going to happen with our home for fan fiction.
Our plan is to make the site exclusively for Linkin Park fan fiction (we're truly sorry!!! -- we understand how many people are upset about this!). Not just Linkin Park fan fiction, but Linkin Park slash and non-pairing fan fiction only.
Why?
01. The Linkin Park category is the most popular on Fanfictionlog.com.
02. The daily traffic the website receives will be minimized quite a bit.
03. It was the Linkin Park fan fiction authors that made the first stand and took some actions when the news that Fanfictionlog.com would be closing down came around to them.
Keep in mind
01. Fanfictionlog.com does not have to remain exclusively a Linkin Park fiction site only. Changes can and most likely will be made. Right now we're mainly concerned about just keeping the site up at whatever cost, financial and site-wise. We can always alter our decisions and broaden the number of accepted categories later on, after the website is rescued from the deep waters that it is currently in.
02. The majority of the members of the Fanfictionlog.com message board like the idea of Anne leading all of this. This does not have to be permanent. She's not going to make any decisions on her own. She cares about your opinions and you all need to keep in mind that she's doing all of this; taking all of these actions for the good of the site. Please understand that before voting.

I hope this petition goes through. The Linkin Park category IS the most popular, although I don't support the idea of slash only.
