We, the citizens of the United States of America, present this petition on behalf of the world community. Over the last four years, we have watched the price of gasoline increase. Usually, a consumer can manipulate the price of a product. If one did not buy a product because of the high price, then the price would typically lower due to supply and demand. Gasoline is something that we can not affect. It is a commodity that is needed. It is as valuable as water in the United States. As a result of our government leaders not knowing the effects of their wars for oil, we the consumer, are forced to pay high prices for a product we cannot control. The oil companies have formed a monopolistic system that we suffer from. In a time and age where major advances have been achieved, we continually ask ourselves why we cannot make a fuel that is less expensive and more plentiful than crude oil. Most of us know there are fuel substitutes out there. Why arent they available at gas pumps? Why wont the government allow us to purchase this fuel? Ethanol is a 100\% biodegradable fuel that is made from corn. It burns the same as gasoline and can contain different octanes. Why is this not available at every gas station in the United States? Also, why is this not marketed as heavily as crude oil? We are proposing an agreement. The increase in price of gasoline is ridiculous and there is nothing the American public can do to stop it. We, as the concerned citizens of this great country, present an official request to put a limit on the price of gasoline. Reasonably, we also ask that there be a limit on how small the price can be. We ask that you let the voting public vote on a range of price of gasoline. Obviously, and understandably, the price of gasoline is going to be naturally higher in some areas. We ask that the only time the price of gasoline goes up is when the minimum wage is raised, as to keep a natural balance. The price also cannot go below a reasonable point. We, the undersigned, have read this documentation and agree to present it truthfully and willfully to the United States government for review. Thank you.
