Save Hounslow Tourist Informtaion Centre

Hounslow Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is planning to be closed by management as they cannot afford to run it, and do not class the work we do as instrumentally necessary to the local and visiting public alike.

Hounslow TIC provides a vast amount of tourist information for Hounslow borough, London and rest of the UK. They sell Travelcards and Oyster Cards as well as offering an efficient and informative travel information service.

Hounslow is the only TIC in the surrounding area that provides a comprehensive amount of information. Local TICs such as Twickenham and Richmond only provide information on their local area. Hounslow TIC is the first stop from Heathrow airport, and therefore the first place that a visitor can collect knowledge of London and the surrounding area.

Tourism brings 15bn per annum in London, and Hounslow is home to a number of high quality heritage attractions such as Syon House, Osterley Park, Chiswick House and Gunnersbury Park Estate.

Without Hounslow TIC, local attractions would most certainly see a drop in visitor numbers.
