The United States of America has breached the sovereign rights of the United Kingdom under the US-UK Consular Convention, by the arrest, detention and sentencing to death of British national Linda Carty.
This petition is presented to Parliament to galvanize the will of the separate parties so that they may put their differences aside and unite in pursuit of every single being's right to a fair trial.
We urge Parliament to demonstrate to the USA that Britain's commitment to defending our beliefs remains as unshakeable as our laws, that stand now as they have for hundreds of years; reflected in international treaties and by the legal system worldwide.
Though solace can be sought in the familiar, threats and coercion should not be condoned, even by those with whom we share a language.
Parliament! Do not sit by and watch!
