Save Masjid Al-Tawhid From Ignorant Fanatics

We are the supporters of Masjid Al-Tawhid who attend, pray, learn and affiliate ourselves with the good work that is carried out here. Unlike those who claim to be the Masjid community but seldom set foot in it, we confirm, emphatically, that we are completely satisfied with the leadership of Shaykh Suhaib Hasan and the Imamate of Dr Usama Hasan. We have benefitted immensely over the past several decades from their knowledge and guidance and consider ourselves privileged to be part of this congregation. We are appalled by the disgraceful attempts made by a number of individuals to not only discredit and demean our teachers, but seek their expulsion from the Masjid. We demand that the instigators of this vendetta against Shaykh Suhaib Hasan and Dr Usama Hasan be expelled from the Masjid Trust forthwith. The leaders of this hate induced campaign are Mohammed Idris Sethi (Secretary of the Masjid) and Arif Saleem (Trustee). Both these individuals are guilty of causing chaos and disruption in the affairs of the Masjid, spreading lies and slander, misleading members of the community and other trustees by falsifying statements and events, associating themselves with known radical extremists and tarnishing the name of Masjid Al-Tawhid by their disgraceful actions. Mohammed Idris Sethi has shown utter disregard and disrespect for the etiquettes of disagreement, taking his smear campaign to levels which have left us stunned. Arif Saleem has made a mockery of his position in the Trust, misleading his own fellow conspirators by feeding them with lies and deceit! There naivety should also be questioned! We urge the Muslim community to show their support for those who tirelessly work in the name of Allah. All too often it is somebody else’s problem, or another Mosque which has no relevance to us. That is the weakness which the extremists exploit and we have to act now! It is time to reclaim our Mosques from the ignorant fanatics. This is our time!
